Livestock
Strait Shipping has a long history of successfully transporting stock units.
Stock comfort and safety is our priority and regulations are strict when it comes to transporting livestock.
- Livestock should be 'emptied' prior to travel to ensure minimal effluent
- Every stock vehicle must include an adequate effluent holding tank to ensure there is no spillage during the voyage.

Lashing and Securing Loads
NZ Maritime Law S24B requires all heavy vehicles (weighing more than 3500kg gross) to be lashed to the ship's deck to prevent movement while the vessel is at sea. Changes to the law in 2007 means all lashing points must be fitted in accordance with ISO9367 points one and two.
